"Follow The Yellow Brick Road" Workshop

Using the Wizard of Oz as a fun theme for this workshop, a tornado of topics will be covered.

Oz's Scarecrow was searching for a healthy heart.  So are we. Workshop participants will be dissecting convenience foods and reading labels to discover healthy choices for childcare menus. We will measure fat, protein, sodium, and sugar content of common foods.

Good witch? Bad witch?   Reading the many food additives on ingredient labels over leads us to wonder which are safe and which are questionable. Learn more about food additives atFollow The Yellow Brick Road.             

Become a wizard at pulling together a main dish for a childcare lunch or supper by preparing freeze-ahead dishes. Directions and recipes will be provided.

Somewhere over the rainbow.....is a shower of craft activities.  Colorful rainbows will be the focus of children's art and craft project ideas.
