At Heartland Child Nutrition, we assist child care providers in making sure the children in their care are given the opportunity for a healthy start.A statewide sponsor of the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program since 1984, Heartland Child Nutrition helps ensure the nutritional well-being of children by providing nutrition education and meal reimbursement to North Dakota's licensed and certified child care providers. Participation in the Heartland food program is easy and fun. This program is offered free of charge to any provider who is licensed or certified by social services. Over 2,500 providers in North Dakota currently participate and receive benefits that enhance and simplify their child care operation. Area representatives from each region provide direct services to child care providers in every county of North Dakota and are available for assistance at the provider's convenience.
